Puppies For Sale Driving To Killarney and Black Bear Farm We are located 4.5 hours north of the Hwy 401 and 400 intersection in North Toronto. Drive north on Hwy 400 past Barrie to the Hwy 401 extension which exits to Parry Sound and Sudbury. You actually must take an exit from Hwy 400 to get on to the Hwy 400 extension. Confusing isn't it? Time for this leg of the trip is one hour. Parry Sound is roughly one hour from Barrie and represents the half way point. You can take the Bowes Street exit at Parry Sound to visit a Harvey's or MacDonald's situated just off the Hwy and purchase gas. Less than ten km north Parry Sound there is a Tim Horton's, a Wendy's and Esso Gas on the side of the Hwy at the community of Nobel. Sometimes the restaurants are very busy with line ups. Hwy 400 to Parry Sound is four lanes to almost Parry Sound. Time to Parry Sound, one hour. From Parry Sound or Nobel the highway turns into two lanes and is called Hwy 69 but its the same road. Hwy 69 is very busy with lots of rock cuts. The traffic moves at speeds from 80 km per hour to 120 km per hour depending on your luck. The highway is heavily patrolled by the OPP, especially on weekends so take your time. Attempting to pass long lines of traffic can be dangerous (specially because of the rock cuts). Although Hwy 69 is a two lane highway, there are sections of three lanes where, for a few kilometres, you have your own passing lane but watch for the three lane ending warning signs located 300 metres before the road again narrows to two lanes. Drive north one hour to Hwy #637which takes you to Killarney. Please call me using your cell phone at the junction of Hwy 69 and Hwy 637 at 705-287-1095. You are approximately 40 minutes from our meeting point at Killarney Outfitters, which is 63 kilometres from Hwy 69. Due to Parvo Virus concerns, we will meet you at 'Killarney Outfitters' and not at our kennels. Killarney Outfitters is located about 63 km Hwy 69. The road address is 1076. Killarney Outfitters is a 100 acre property with large signs and flags so you cannot miss it. Hwy 637 is a two lane hardened surface road through the forest and ends in Killarney. The road is rough is some places and bumps can surprise you. Moose, bear and deer habitually cross the road, especially at dawn and dusk. Some times the moose and bears take their own sweet time getting out of your way. Driving the road at high speed is not recommended as if you hit a moose that darts in front of you your trip will come to a surprise end. Moose collisions at high speed are fatal for you and the moose. The Killarney Outfitters property is four km from the village of Killarney and the waterfront where can find Mr. Perch, the local commercial fisherman's fish and chip stand open daily from May 24 to the end of September. The short version of driving directions are: Hwy 400 north to Barrie, Hwy 400 Extension west and north to Parry Sound. Hwy 69 north to Hwy 637. Hwy 637 west for 66.6 km to #1078. The total trip with a short stop along the way can be 4.5 hours. We also have a paved 3500' air strip only a few hundreds yards from our property and we can pick you up there should you wish to fly. Killarney UNICOM frequency is 122.8 MHz. Ask the radio operator to call Brien And Alison East at 287-1095 for a pick up as you arrive. When coming for your puppy, bring the following to make your return trip a pleasant one for you and your puppy.
