Just thought I would touch base with you and give you an update

. We have a 7 month old puppy "Brady". (He's Jan 30th 2008 litter.)

He's doing great and we're really happy with him. We plan on holding off getting him neutered until he's a year or so as I've read that it's beneficial for large dogs to get all the hormones they can to increase their muscle mass and help support their bones. (Something like that anyway!) Right now it's not an issue as he's not spraying or humping. (If that starts, he'll be neutered sooner!)

He's already very big and I'm sure he still has some growing to do. We haven't weighed him since his last vet visit in June, but I'm sure he's well over 60 lbs now. Yikes! He can certainly hold his own at the dog park!

We've taken him travelling with us numerous times and he's done great! He loves car rides! We live in London and he's been to Ottawa, Adirondacks NY, Lion's Head in the Bruce Peninsula, Port Severn, Six Mile Lake and a few day trips to the nearby beach on Lake Huron. He's always admired wherever we take him and people always comment on how relaxed and calm he seems for a puppy. (Trust me he has many manic puppy moments though!)

For the first month or so we would always explain that he was 1/4 Lab and 3/4 Weim when people asked what he was, but have since decided that it was easier to just say he's a Weimaraner. He certainly does look all Weim!

We're wondering if you plan on having another litter in the new year? My sister in Ottawa absolutely loves him and is seriously thinking about adopting one next year, but she only wants one from the same parents as ours. (We're also playing around with the idea of getting a 2nd )

She's asked me for your contact info so you'll probably be hearing from her.

Brady is growing like a weed! Took him to the vet's yesterday for shots & rabies and he's 50lbs. (He's 4 months now.)

He is becoming a great dog and we love him. Training is going well. He seems to have temporarily outgrown his stubborn phase! And it's amazing how fast he's grown and become part of our family.
