Jessie is a GBSD born in 2011
Hi Brien,
We are having a wonderful time with Jesse. She has really grown 66 lbs. now and she is almost 10 mon.I have had several people ask if she is part Dane as she is quite tall with long legs.
She is really gentle but very headstrong when walking, but we are working daily on that as well as a daily jaunt at a leash free park. We also go on leash free hikes with a group of people who trained with a Brad Patison certified trainer. Jesse is a handful but life would be very dull without her.
Have a Happy New Year,
Martha, George & Jesse

Hi Brien,
I hope all is well with you and your canine friends. Meeko is growing every day. We need to buy him a larger crate – he is outgoing his 36 ” x 28″ crate. We had a quiet week a couple weeks ago when he had a bad cold (major runny nose & all) and needed to be on antibiotics. My family really fell in love with him then! lol
He loves to learn new things, likes to play with the other pups at puppy school, and he is improving walking on leash- good until the cats distract him by following us. Needless to say we are enjoying Meeko. We get many comments on how beautiful he is : ) Thanks again for all your patience and support.
All the best,
Joan

Hi Brien
I just want to update you on Barlow’s first night with us.
He did so great…….We cannot ask for a better dog than that.
He is so gentle with our cats….he is really curious about the cat…but always backs away when he sees the cat getting nervous around him…but he cannot help it to go to them and smell them…but he is very gentle with them.
His first night was AWESOME…..He is getting familiar with the house and he sure loves his bed we got him. We put his bed in the laundry room and put a gate at the door so he doesn’t roam around the house at night.
When we woke up this morning the laundry room was clean (no poop or pee) YEAAAHHHH!!!
I think that is a good sign on how he will be….keeping my fingers crossed.
I have attached a picture of him with our cat Tina….she cannot help it to be around Barlow… she is curious about that big beast!!

Hi Brien,
I wanted to send you some pictures of Indy – a pup we got from you this August 2010. He was born from Toni and Oscar. We just love him to bits and he has been a great addition to our family. We have a Jack Russel and they get along well. As you can see from the pictures, Indy gets along with every dog he has met so far. I enjoy walking him and he gets me out every day to walk, which I need too!
Thanks again, Jennifer

Hey Brien
We’ve had lots of changes here and I will try to send you some updated pictures. We have a baby girl in our life now (14 months) and she has decided Scout is all hers. They are adorable together. She even gives him his treat when he comes in from outside.
I’m glad to hear from you. Hope all is well.

Hello again – thank you for sending us that information on Storm and his puppy pictures – it’s hard to believe he was that small at one point! Right now he is almost as large as most great danes around here – easily over 100 lbs. and he is sleek and well muscled – he gets lost of exercise – both unleashed walks and in dog parks.
He lives with myself and my husband Alan, and two other dogs, one a mixed breed border collie named Star and an older dog (greyhound mix) named Smokey. He has fit in very well. He is a bit of a challenge as I think he may not have had a lot of training – but he is responding well with encouragement on recall and learning to walk nicely on leash.
As far as socialization he is awesome – he gets along with every dog he meets! And he hasn’t met a tennis ball he didn’t like – he can actually fit three of them in his mouth – he is attempting a record four – but we are discouraging this as a trip to the vet to remove tennis balls would not be fun!
He is unbelievable at tracking, in fact on a recent 2 hour walk, we had brought tennis balls with us to throw for the dogs, Storm kept collecting them all so we stopped throwing them. Along the way he hid three in the bush. We were away from the road we walked in on for at least an hour – upon our return to the road he dashed off into the bush – got one ball and then accurately found the other two, including a fourth that my husband had thrown into the bush and lost! I have never seen anything like that before and I have had dogs all my life.
We will keep in touch and pay attention to your site as you have some great information there and it is interesting to hear about his family!!
Thank you for getting back to me on this gorgeous dog!! He is becoming very popular around here – everyone thinks he’s beautiful!
Judy and Alan
